Our Mission

 

Tzion's Haven House & Christian Center for Youth, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that aims to enhance the quality of life for our youth by serving the basic needs of the children in Belleville and the surrounding areas through Christian principles biblically based values. 

We provide: 

 

  • Homework assistance and tutoring

  • Mentoring

  • After school recreational and social programs

  • Christian counseling 

  • Bible studies

  • Devotion time

  • Health awareness, physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual

  • Daily nutritious meals and snacks

  • School essentials (give-a-ways)

  • Study and computer lab access

  • Library reading time

  • Outreach participation

  • Support/Discussion Groups

  • Referrals to and partnerships with other service providers

  • Field Trips

 

Because we service the youth of all ethnicities and social-economic backgrounds, we adapt our programs to serve best the needs of the child we are servicing. We are here to not only help the youth in our community but to empower and enhance their growth, both naturally and spiritually.

Tzion's Haven House & Christian Center is founded on the word of God.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. ' (Prov. 22:6.) That’s why we are here to be a safe haven for our youth, where they can find hope; feel valued and loved. All while learning biblical base principles and the fundamentals of life through recreation, education, activities, etc.  

 

Hundreds of kids in Belleville and the surrounding areas leave school at the end of the day with no adult waiting for them at home. Many of these children are alone without structured activities, nutritious meals, or awareness of the inherent risks confronting unsupervised children. 

   

After the final school bell rings, where will your child go?

 

Tzion's Haven House & Christian Center is here for them. Our after-school Haven-Program provides students with fun learning activities in a safe and supervised environment from 4pm to 8pm during the week and from 12pm to 4pm on Saturdays. 

 

Safe, Educational, and Fun After School Activities

 

The Haven-Program addresses the parent's need for structure and safety with the child's need for learning and fun. Tzion's Haven House & Christian Center for Youth, Inc. is an after-school programs that is a Christian, biblically-based, faith-driven program. So, your child will get what they need to thrive naturally, but more importantly, they will get what they need to succeed in a spiritual sense.

Our Vision: 

 

Our vision has several parts:

 

1.  To create a better tomorrow in the community for our youth today by creating programs that promote community values, diversity, and individuality through Christian values, biblical principles, faith, love, and education.

 

2. To encourage, empower and water the "seed" of gifts and talents that God has planted in our youth. By providing a safe environment and the resources and opportunities for them to thrive.

 

3.  To honor Christian values by cultivating and nurturing our youth with the word of God. In a non-judgmental and supportive environment. 

 

 

4.  To demonstrate the leadership skills, strengths, knowledge, and wisdom needed to instill greatness in our youth while identifying the S.W.O.Ts in their life and implementing positive, constructive strategies to overcome those weaknesses and threats while at the same time cultivating their strengths and creating opportunities.
